(Nº01) — Editor's note

Clothes were never meant to sit still. OBLIQUE photographs them where they actually live — mid-stride, caught by wind, half-turned away. This issue is a refusal of the flat, frontal, perfectly-lit lookbook.

We dressed fourteen people, walked them through one city for one day, and let the light do what it wanted. What you're scrolling is the unedited result — grain, blur, motion and all. Nothing here was made to be admired from a distance. It was made to be worn.

Clothes remember how they were worn, not how they were photographed.

(Nº04) — In conversation

“I don't want the garment to behave. I want to catch it the second it forgets the camera is there.”
